Check licences for licensed work
Electrical, plumbing, gas and building work generally needs a licensed tradesperson. Ask for the licence number and check it with your state regulator. BookaJob only shows a licence as checked if an admin has approved it.
Keep payment on BookaJob
Paying through the platform keeps a record of the job and lets us review cancellations, no-shows and disputes. Don't pay cash or bank transfer for jobs found here.
Your address stays private
Public job listings show your suburb only. Your exact address is shared with the provider after the booking is paid.
Describe hazards honestly
Tell providers about dogs, steep slopes, asbestos, power lines or anything else that could affect safety.
Trust your instincts
If something feels wrong, don't go ahead. You can cancel or report a problem from the job page.
